Highly Specialised Echo Cardiac Physiologist
Employment type: fixed term/secondment until 31.03.2027 due to Maternity Leave. Open to fully BSE accredited individuals.
Our busy echo service delivers up to 2000 transthoracic echocardiograms each month and includes stress echocardiography, valve clinics, LVO and bubble clinics. Staff are encouraged to develop skills in areas of interest.
Main duties of the job
* Perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms independently to standards outlined by the British Society of Echocardiography.
* Assist with transoesophageal echocardiograms, bubble studies and LVO.
* Assist in the expansion of physiologist–led clinics.
* Interpret technical information and data from investigations and prepare reports.
* Communicate effectively within the department and with other departments throughout the trust.
* Assist in training echo students and cardiology registrars.
* Commit to rotational duties in other local hospitals and community clinics.
