JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead warehouse and distribution operations across multiple sites within a dynamic logistics and supply chain environment.
As a Warehouse Operations Manager you will take responsibility for day-to-day warehouse management, ensuring efficient stock control, accurate order fulfilment and high service levels across retail, wholesale, pub and e-commerce distribution channels.
The Warehouse Operations Manager will work closely with operational teams and customers to drive productivity, maintain high standards of health and safety and food safety, and support the implementation of a warehouse management system to enhance digital workflows.

DUTIES
* Operational Leadership: Lead warehouse and distribution activities across sites to ensure service, accuracy and productivity targets are achieved
* Multi-Channel Fulfilment: Manage short lead-time order fulfilment across retail, wholesale, pub and e-commerce channels
* Stock Control and Inventory Management: Maintain high standards of stock accuracy, traceability and product integrity for fresh and ambient goods
* Team Leadership: Provide clear direction, coaching and support to supervisors, team leaders and warehouse operatives
* Customer and Contract Management: Act as a key operational contact for customers while ensuring KPIs and service level agreements are achieved
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes, layout and workflow to increase efficiency and accuracy
* Systems Implementation: Support the preparation, testing and rollout of a warehouse management system and digital processes
* Health, Safety and Compliance: Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards and operational procedures
* Operational Support: Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor and provide hands-on support during peak trading periods
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
* Previous experience in a warehouse management, logistics or distribution leadership role within a fast-paced environment
* Proven experience leading operational teams and driving performance, productivity and service standards
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and inventory control awareness
* Experience with warehouse operations, stock control systems and operational reporting tools
* Good communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure
DESIRABLE
* Experience within food, FMCG, temperature-controlled or retail distribution environments
* Experience working within a third-party logistics (3PL) operation
* Experience supporting or implementing warehouse management systems or digital workflow improvementsUnderstanding of multi-channel fulfilment including e-commerce logistics and distribution
* A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to contribute to operational development initiatives
