Quality Manager / Technical Manager

About the Role
An established and growing manufacturer within the cosmetics and personal care sector is seeking either an experienced Technical Manager or Quality Manager to take a lead role in managing and developing the company's quality systems, ensuring compliance with global standards and supporting high-quality production across all operations.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to take ownership of ISO and GMP frameworks, drive continuous improvement, and maintain technical integrity across manufacturing and product release processes.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance
Oversee and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with ISO 22716 (Cosmetic GMP) and related standards.
Lead internal and external audits, ensuring documentation, corrective actions, and follow-up activities are completed effectively.
Manage third-party and regulatory audit relationships, maintaining a state of audit readiness at all times.
Quality Systems & Documentation
Maintain and control all QMS documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and quality policies.
Ensure technical records, test reports, and batch documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with internal and external requirements.
Support process validation and equipment qualification initiatives to maintain manufacturing consistency and traceability.
Technical Oversight & Process Management
Provide technical guidance to production teams to ensure accuracy in formulation, processing, and product release.
Investigate quality or process deviations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Review and approve batch manufacturing records, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to GMP principles.
Regulatory & International Support
Coordinate with regulatory and compliance teams to manage product registrations and technical documentation for export markets, including the Middle East.
Maintain awareness of international regulatory requirements affecting product safety and compliance.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a technical, quality, or compliance role within the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or FMCG sectors.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 22716 and GMP systems.
Experience in quality control, manufacturing processes, and batch documentation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to CAPA and process improvement.
Ability to communicate effectively across departments, fostering a culture of quality and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 22716 or ISO 9001).
Experience working with digital QMS platforms or electronic batch recording systems.
