Job Summary
Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner/Emergency Care Practitioner role at Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust.
Responsibilities
* Work autonomously to assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients presenting with minor injuries/illness in the Urgent Treatment Centre.
* Provide clinical expertise, professional leadership and education, ensuring high standards of evidence‑based clinical practice.
* Manage the unit day‑to‑day, acting as shift co‑ordinator and supporting the clinical leads in team management.
* Deliver care in a fast‑paced environment, meeting national targets for waiting times and quality metrics.
* Participate in governance, service improvement, audits and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse or Paramedic, NMC or HCPC registered.
* Post‑registration qualification in Minor Injuries/Minor Illness (Level 3) or equivalent.
* Intermediate Life Support and child‑protection training.
* Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to the role (e.g. non‑medical prescribing, mentorship, coaching, imaging).
* Experience in a primary‑care or minor‑injuries setting and clinical audit.
* Knowledge of NHS Guidelines, NICE, National Service Frameworks and legal/ethical responsibilities of autonomous practice.
* Leadership and communication skills, flexibility, strategic thinking and commitment to equality and diversity.
