We are seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to contribute to building a healthier nation at our club. The role involves delivering Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes using our unique pathway, supporting our charitable purpose. This includes remote (digital) and in-person facilitation of exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating guidance, and goal setting to aid recovery. The programme involves weekly 1-to-1 sessions, group exercise classes (virtual and in person), and promotes goal setting and self-directed activity.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, influence, excellent communication, organization, and self-motivation. You will collaborate onsite, centrally, and with our charity team and beneficiaries. Essential skills include excellent IT proficiency and a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification. Previous experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist and an understanding of rehabilitation are desirable, along with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation (preferred but not essential).
As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will:
* Organize and run rolling 12-week rehabilitation programmes.
* Facilitate and deliver live stream and in-person group exercise classes for individuals with varying abilities.
* Promote self-directed activity through pre-recorded classes and journals to support participants in managing their condition post-programme.
* Adjust exercises and intensities based on participants’ progress and improvements.
* Monitor for any deterioration in participants and follow escalation processes, ensuring timely reporting and accurate outcome data collection.
* Engage in weekly 1-to-1 phone conversations to set goals, understand restrictions, monitor progress, provide emotional support, and empower self-management.
