ROLE OVERVIEW
An experienced and enthusiastic Paralegal is sought to work on a large-scale matter within the Business Crime team. The role involves managing significant volumes of documentation, requiring excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work to demanding deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have experience with complex document management, disclosure exercises and document review platforms.

* Anti-money laundering
* Bribery and corruption
* Commercial and trust litigation
* Corporate investigations
* Criminal antitrust (cartels)
* Cross-border matters (including extradition and mutual legal assistance)
* Economic sanctions
* Financial regulation
* Fraud (criminal and civil)
* Insider dealing
* International asset tracing
* Tax investigations
DUTIES
Typical responsibilities will include:
* Managing large volumes of documents (both historic and ongoing material)
* Maintaining spreadsheets and document trackers
* Using digital document review platforms
* Reviewing and analysing case materials
* Producing summaries of key documents
* Attending client meetings, court hearings and conference calls, and taking notes
* Drafting memoranda and correspondence
* Preparing hard copy bundles
* Liaising with Counsel
* Conducting legal research
* Providing general administrative support as required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* A strong academic background, including a law degree or GDL and completion of the LPC or BPTC
* At least 12 months’ prior paralegal experience in contentious or criminal matters (ideally litigation-focused)
* Familiarity with eDisclosure platforms (e.g. Relativity)
* A genuine interest in criminal law and a strong work ethic
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
* Experience using legal research databases such as LexisNexis, Westlaw and Practical Law
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
* Strong attention to detail
* A proactive, positive and professional approach to work
