What We’re Looking For
1. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
2. 3–7 years of structural engineering experience
3. Residential housing experience preferred
4. Background in wood construction
5. California project experience a plus
6. AutoCAD required; Revit experience preferred
7. Client and service-oriented mindset
8. Strong desire to grow and develop technically
Role Overview
The Structural Engineer supports the development of structural design and calculations for construction documents while working closely with senior engineers and project managers.
Responsibilities
9. Perform engineering analysis and design of wood structures
10. Assist in developing project layouts and load paths
11. Prepare initial plan markups and structural details
12. Support development of loading criteria
13. Perform quality control review of plans and notes
14. Coordinate with internal team members and consultants
15. Prepare calculations, reports, and technical documents
16. Assist with client communication as needed
17. Attend meetings and site visits when required
18. Review submittals and assist with RFIs
19. Maintain company standards and procedures
Qualifications
20. BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
21. 3–7 years relevant experience
22. PE license required
23. Understanding of structural design principles
24. Experience with wood framing preferred
25. Proficiency in structural software
26. Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit preferred
27. Strong communication and organizational skills
