Ignite Talent Group are working with a local firm based in Birkenhead on the Wirral, to find a qualified Conveyancer or Senior Conveyancer.
If you're looking for your next career move, have 2-3 years of experience as a qualified conveyancer, and are wanting to join a friendly progressive firm, this is the role for you.
The main purpose of this role is to act for conveyancing clients on behalf of the firm.
Key tasks
Undertake all aspects of the conveyancing process, supervise and delegate work to Conveyancing Assistants. In particular (non‑exhaustive list):
Conveyancer Level
* Thorough knowledge and experience of dealing with all aspects of Conveyancing process
* Work with and under the supervision of a Senior Conveyancer
* Deal with residential conveyancing transactions from start to finish, acting for both private clients and limited companies
* Deal with different types of transactions, including Freehold, Leasehold, New Build
* Shared Ownership, Help to Buy and Non‑statutory Lease Extensions
* Responsible for “signing off” files for exchange and completion
* Work with the Senior Conveyancer to achieve financial target set for the year and help supervise and develop the Conveyancing Assistant in the team
* Take over full responsibility for the team in the Senior Conveyancer’s absence
* Act honestly and diligently and at all times abide by the relevant professional codes of conduct that may from time to time be in force
Senior Conveyancer
* Extensive knowledge and experience of dealing with all aspects of Conveyancer level
* Head up a Team of 3, working with and supervising a Conveyancer and Conveyancing Assistant
* Responsible for allocation of work within the Team
* Responsibility for all files opened under their name, for completions and achieving financial target set for the year
* Responsible for development and progression of the Conveyancer and Conveyancing Assistant
* Awareness and involvement of business development
* Identify training needs within the Team
Benefits
* Conveyancer - £34,000 - £38,000 DOE
* Senior Conveyancer - £38,000 - £44,000 DOE
Hours of work: 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, option to work from home by arrangement.
Holiday entitlement: Four weeks paid holiday per year (exclusive of bank holidays) plus additional holidays over the Christmas period when office usually closes.
