My client, a well-respected charity based on the outskirts of Maidstone, are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join them on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis. This is a key, hands‑on role within the small Finance team.

Description
* Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and maintain strong financial controls
* Manage budgets and forecasts, supporting managers through planning cycles
* Oversee VAT and Gift Aid reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance
* Support year‑end audit and statutory accounts preparation
* Review payroll, approve payments, and manage core finance systems
* Act as a key finance contact for departmental managers and stakeholders

Profile
My client is looking for someone with the following experience:
* Qualified / Qualified by Experience
* Experience of leading and managing a small finance team
* Hands‑on experience at Finance Manager level including the production of the management accounts, statutory accounts and audit liaison.
* The ability to commit to the full contract
Previous experience of working for a charity is helpful but not essential.
This role is based on‑site 5 days per week - please only apply if you are able to commit to the commute near Maidstone.
