VASLan is seeking an inspiring and values-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the Third Sector Interface for South Lanarkshire and champion one of Scotland’s most vibrant local third sectors.
VASLan represents and supports over 1,400 community, voluntary and social enterprise organisations. Our ambition is to make South Lanarkshire the best place in Scotland to start, run and grow a third sector organisation.
VASLan is committed to not competing with the local third sector on the delivery of services and to being genuinely accountable to and representative of it.
About the role
This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is blended working across South Lanarkshire.
As CEO, you will:
· Provide strategic and operational leadership to VASLan
· Act as the principal advocate and system leader for the local third sector
· Build strong partnerships with Community Planning partners, funders and government
· Steward significant funding and ensure long-term sustainability
· Lead, support and develop a committed staff team
· Work closely with the Board to ensure strong governance and accountability
About you
You will bring:
· Senior leadership experience in the third, public or related sector
· Strong influencing, partnership and communication skills
· Sound financial and governance experience
· A deep commitment to community-led, asset-based approaches
· Knowledge of the Scottish third sector and policy environment
