Receptionist/Administrator - Central Lakes Medical Group
We're looking for a part-time Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly team at Central Lakes Medical Group.
You'll need to have excellent customer service skills to be the first contact forcallers to the practice. You'll be patient-focused, responsible, andadaptable to understand and address their needs and requirements effectively.You'll be working as part of our fabulous administration and reception team,and will contribute to delivering high-quality support for patients. We prideourselves on being responsive, understanding, and doing the best that we can toaddress the needs of our patients, and are looking for someone like-minded tojoin us. We're caring, inclusive, and a great bunch to work with.
We operate fromAmbleside and Hawkshead and are looking for someone to work flexibly acrossboth sites.
We currently have two positions available to cover the specific hours required. Kindly indicate your preferred working pattern in your application. If you do not have a preference, please state "both."
1 - Mon: 08.30-14.00, Tues: 08:30-14:00, Weds: 08.30-14:00
2 - Weds: 8.30-18.30, Thurs: 8.30-14:00, Fri: 8.30-14:30

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the efficient running of the reception area at Central Lakes Medical Group.
This includes general administration, data entry, equipment checks and liaison with multi-disciplinary teams.

Job responsibilities
Thislist of duties and responsibilities, which follows, represents the broadrange of tasks which may be required to be undertaken either routinely orperiodically. This list is notexhaustive and the role may include additional duties which are not listedhere.
1.Tobe the first point of contact for patients arriving at the Health Centre.
2.Processingconfidential patient information to pass to Clinicians.
3.Openup the premises at the start of the day, set the alarm to day function,including checking the heating/air conditioning and panic alarms and make allnecessary preparation to receive patients.
4.Contactingpatients with appointment times.
5.Keepinga watchful eye on patients waiting to be seen and in the case of
worseningsymptoms, alerting a relevant professional.
6.AlertingEmergency Services in the event of an emergency and/or gain help from withinthe department.
7.Gainan understanding of coordinating workload to capacity.
8.Carryingout equipment checks and reporting issues to the Practice Co-ordinator.
9.Towork autonomously, managing own workload effectively referring to linemanager when necessary.
10. Receive and make calls as requiredwith the ability to handle heavy phone/patient traffic. Divert calls and takemessages as appropriate. Ensure that the telephone system is operational atthe beginning of each day.
11. Scanning and attaching patients datato patients electronic records.
12. Pulling, filing and photocopying ofpatient paper records.
13. Sort, screen and distribute incominginternal mail. Process outgoing mail following the procedure.
14. Securing premises at the end of theday ensuring the building is totally secured, internal lights are switchedoff and the alarm activated.

16. Participate and ensure own on-goingdevelopment
17. Receiving all incoming deliveries,opening and distributing accordingly.

19. Undertake any other activities deemedappropriate and necessary by the organisation.
