Londonderry (Head Office) Industry: Energy / Fuel Distribution Overview MCS are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading, long-established fuel distribution company in Northern Ireland. They are now seeking a highly motivated and commercially focused Business Development Executive to join their growing commercial sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop a portfolio of existing commercial customers, building long-term relationships. Identify and generate new business leads through networking, prospecting, and online platforms. Maintain up-to-date market knowledge to support competitive product pricing and business strategy. Make regular outbound calls to customers and prospects, processing orders and maintaining records. Work closely with the Sales Director to maintain pricing policy and ensure competitive positioning. Collaborate with internal teams including credit control, dispatch, and commercial departments to meet customer needs. Assist in marketing campaigns and promotional activities where required. Maintain accurate data entry and administrative tasks including filing and correspondence. Provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts to senior management. Essential Skills and Experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar sales/business development role. Proven track record in managing the full sales process from lead generation to close. Strong commercial acumen and results-driven attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective client relationships. Experience with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is desirable. What's on Offer Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications). Office-based role with occasional travel to customer premises. Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (with 30-minute unpaid lunch).
