Service Manager Integrated Learning Disability – Manchester City Council
Working Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Responsibilities
* Operational and strategic responsibility for 5 teams: 3 locality teams, a review team and a forensic team.
* Oversee assessment functions under the Care Act, MCA, MHA, and human rights legal frameworks.
* Coordinate liaison with provider networks (internal and external) and align with user networks (e.g., Manchester People First) to ensure close alignment with people we support.
* Report to the Assistant Director, Complex Needs and collaborate with service managers across mental health, substance misuse, preparation for adulthood, and entrenched rough sleeper teams, as well as INT colleagues across the MLCO.
* Provide compassionate leadership to the five teams and foster co-production, collaboration with internal colleagues and external partners, and strength-based, trauma-informed approaches.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England (required).
* Casual Car User documentation may be applicable; willingness to drive with a full valid driving licence and access to a car for business use, with mileage allowance where applicable.
* DBS clearance via Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (post conditional offer) in line with policy and Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended 2013).
* Experience in learning disability services and demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams with a collaborative, strength-based approach.
