This role oversees the delivery of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and fabric services across a multi-site portfolio, ensuring high standards, strong compliance and reliable service performance.The Role:You will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across all technical operations, managing multi-site teams, shaping processes and driving commercial performance. With full financial responsibility, you’ll champion operational excellence, client satisfaction and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Commercial & Financial OversightLead the financial performance of the technical division, ensuring budgets and targets are achieved.Control costs, support bids and provide commercial insight for new opportunities.Monitor contract performance and maintain healthy margins.Operational LeadershipOversee maintenance programmes and reactive engineering activities.Ensure services meet agreed performance levels and regulatory standards.Strengthen processes, quality checks and asset management practices.Provide clear operational reporting for internal and client use.People LeadershipLead and develop engineering teams across multiple sites.Set clear expectations and maintain a high-performance culture.Support skills development and succession planning.Safety & ComplianceEnsure all engineering work meets statutory, technical and safety requirements.Oversee audits, inspections and risk assessments.Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance.Client & Stakeholder EngagementAct as the senior technical contact for clients.Attend review meetings, offer guidance and manage escalations effectively.Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementWork closely with other service areas to deliver integrated solutions.Contribute to wider business strategy and lead improvement initiatives.Candidate Profile:Extensive senior leadership experience within hard services, facilities management or a related sector.Proven success managing complex, multi site operations with full P&L responsibility.A proactive, self driven professional with proven corporate experience and a successful background at established service providers such as Mitie, G4S, Bidvest Noonan, or similar, demonstrating the expertise and capabilities required for this role.Strong people leader with a track record of motivating and managing large, diverse teams while delivering outstanding client engagement.Commercially astute, skilled at driving operational efficiency, financial performance and client satisfaction, while upholding the highest standards of compliance and quality.Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at executive and client level.London or Home Counties based, with a reliable commute to support regular central London work.Flexible to begin on a 4 days office / 1 day remote hybrid pattern, with scope to transition to a 3/2 model in line with business needs.This is a career defining opportunity for a commercially driven leader with the expertise and ambition to shape the future of a high performing hard services division.To express interest in this role, please apply confidentially.
