We are looking for a creative head Chef to be part of our new exciting Bistro Wolds. You will be working with the team to develop and deliver an authentic fresh-food based Mediterranean Cotswold fusion Menu. The ideal candidate will have a passion to create exceptional dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high-quality food production.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Create innovative and appealing menu items while considering cost and quality
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and specials
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and functionality
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to help motivate a team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen management, and food safety standards
- Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- A creative flair for menu development while keeping up with industry trends
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous
