Commercial & Technology Associate - 3+ PQE - Bristol
Are you a commercially savvy lawyer with a passion for technology, data, and digital transformation? This is your chance to join a forward-thinking legal team working at the cutting edge of IT, data protection, and emerging tech. We're looking for a talented Associate (3+ years PQE) to advise on complex, high-value technology projects for a diverse client base from global cloud providers to disruptive fintech startups and public sector innovators.

* Digital transformation and IT outsourcing
* Software and technology licensing
* Fintech and financial services innovation
* Cloud computing and smart contracts

The successful candidate will support clients across a wide range of sectors including energy, transport, financial services, healthcare, retail, and government helping them navigate the legal challenges of digital innovation.
Responsibilities
* Provide commercial and technology advice on complex, high-value projects and transactions
* Support software and technology licensing, cloud/computing arrangements, and related commercial contracts
* Advise on data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance
* Engage with clients across sectors including energy, transport, financial services, healthcare, retail, and government
* Mentor or support junior colleagues where appropriate
Requirements
* 3+ years' PQE with experience in commercial and technology law
* Strong understanding of data protection and regulatory frameworks
* Confident managing complex transactions and client relationships
* A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues
* Qualified solicitor (SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered)
