As part of the Calisen Group, we’re growing fast and looking for a talented Bid Manager to lead our commercial and public sector bid activity.If you’re a strategic thinker with a flair for writing compelling proposals and managing end-to-end tender processes, we’d love to hear from you!About the RoleAs a Bid Manager, you’ll take ownership of the bid process across both commercial and public sector opportunities. You’ll be responsible for identifying and managing tender submissions, developing high-quality bid responses, and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. This is a key role in helping us secure new projects and funding, while building strong internal and external relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full bid lifecycle from opportunity tracking to submission and handoverWrite and coordinate high-quality, tailored bid responsesMaintain and develop a library of standard responses to streamline future submissionsCollaborate with internal teams including sales, technical, legal, and financeMonitor trends in bid requirements, including social value and accreditationsAnalyse bid outcomes to drive continuous improvementRepresent Plug Me In at industry events and networking opportunitiesWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience in bid management or bid writing for public and commercial sectorsStrong understanding of tender portals (e.g. Tenders Direct, Find a Tender, In-Tend, Atamis)Knowledge of social value and how to demonstrate it in bidsDegree-level qualification or equivalent experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Knowledge of renewable energy products such as solar PV and battery storage (desirable)Familiarity with public sector funding mechanisms (e.g. PSDF)Benefits: Annual salary review to ensure your efforts are recognised.
