Leader Education is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Ashington, supporting children and young people aged 2–19 years with special educational needs. The role is Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30 The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities Work 1:1 or in small groups to support learning and development Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management Support pupils with personal care, communication, and emotional regulation where required Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting) Is patient, compassionate, and reliable Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff Is confident supporting children with complex needs (training can be provided) Holds a DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply) Why Work with Leader Education?
