Job Purpose An account manager is a crucial role for the day-to-day smooth running of projects and accounts. As the name suggests, an AM manages delivery the work product. The AD relies on the AM to provide updates on the progress on accounts. An AM keeps their team informed through clear and timely communication, taking a solutions based approach to problems, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects/accounts and is accountable for delivery of core responsibilities. Key Deliverables & Responsibilities Candidate will be responsible for managing the following (but not limited to): External meeting notes distribution (1 hour after meeting) Client responses (by EOP absolute maximum – holding messages within an hour of receipt if required) Sharing weekly EOW updates with client (and WIP docs where required) Updating internal reconciliations (weekly meeting with account lead to review) Management of key projects (as identified with account lead) Budget creation Timeline creation Drafting briefs Briefing production Managing delivery & feedback Social plan/calendar creation (based on existing strategy) Managing client requests Updating client WIPs (ahead of WIP calls) Running of client WIP calls Chasing client feedback and meeting deadlines (managing timelines) Diarising of client relevant deadlines/milestones/holidays Updating on external/client deliverables/deadlines during daily standups Creation of project timelines (with support from account lead) Management of external project deadlines Ownership of project wrap up decks/collation of measurable results/KPI delivery Creation of client facing reports (with input from internal lead) Month 1: Onboarded onto key accounts (Clarios, Tesco, Vodafone, Avery Dennison, Sodexo). Establish relationships with key internal stakeholders across the various departments of the business. Handling on internal processes as listed above Month 3: Direct ownership of key accounts and deliverables (with oversight from line manager) Take over operational management of relevant accounts, including reporting, briefing and asset delivery, content creation and copywriting. Successfully deliver according to client scope. Establish strong client relationships with direct client contact/team on assigned accounts. Demonstrate understanding of 10G and client businesses by building and reporting on key relationships. Month 6: Establish working relationships with key clients assigned Independently manage external and internal processes for existing projects Demonstrate growth in your own abilities Contribute to new business opportunities and identifying account growth opportunities. Success will be measured by Internal feedback gathered from line manager and relevant business stakeholders Feedback from client counterparts as part of formal probation review (3 months) Tracked delivery of responsibilities and projects Allocation of Time This role will be predominantly client facing when it comes to completing allocated tasks. (approx. 70%) Management of internal processes and stakeholders will make up the remainder (approx. 30%) Skills The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following Attention to detail regarding client communications, sharing agency work and internal processes Effective briefing of creative/production/design/editorial based on client briefs Budget management (with oversight from line manager) Development of delivery timelines and accountable for keeping/managing expectations with client Resource planning and booking based on agreed timelines Management of your own time, sharing workloads as required and agreed Capable of managing upstream with a solution based mindset Confidently able to present work in a client meeting or pitch environment Demonstration of accountability regarding core responsibilities Clear communicator ensuring no balls are dropped At The 10 Group we expect the following from each and every team member: Be responsive: Our business is built of great client relationships. Qualifications Desirable qualifications to supplement the above would include: 2 years working in a marketing, advertising or communications role within an agency environment Undergraduate degree in relevant subject area (communications, marketing) Foundation training in marketing, advertising or communications
