Our client, a Merseyside council is seeking a Children's Team Manager to join their CP Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
* Provide operational leadership and management of a Child Protection social work team, ensuring effective safeguarding practice
* Allocate and oversee complex CP cases, maintaining clear oversight of risk, decision-making, and case progression
* Chair or contribute to strategy discussions, child protection meetings, and reviews, ensuring statutory timescales are met
* Deliver regular supervision and performance management, promoting reflective, strengths-based practice and staff development
* Ensure high-quality assessments, plans, and recording, compliant with legislation, policy, and inspection standards
* Lead effective multi-agency working to safeguard children and reduce risk of harm
* Monitor quality assurance, audit practice, and escalate concerns to ensure safe and defensible practice
Requirements of this role:
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
* Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
