Role Description
Management of specific customers to support delivery of the Princes RGM and trading commercial (branded) strategy focussed on delivery of revenue, profit (NM%, NM per case, EBITDA) and market share objectives/Budget.
Co-ordinate and work closely with the full CS&P function to translate our brand strategy and plans to be customer ready (fit to go-to-market) deployed in partnership with Sales.
Play a key role within the broader CS&P strategy to ensure RGM plans are aligned internally and executed externally whilst optimising ROI delivery against KPIs (Budget, Forecast).
Support the RGM team with pricing and promotional planning and analysis as well as SKU profitability.
Key Deliverables:
* Accountable for the execution of short term RGM tactics and longer term RGM strategies within the customer portfolio.
* Adding value to customer performance and profitability through an in-depth understanding of the customer strategy and trajectory. Bringing the customer voice to the CS&P Team and building strong working relationships with customer facing Sales Teams to ensure an aligned RGM vision.
* Map forward promotional plans and analyse and evaluate on promotional performance to ensure the right activity is planned, taking action and course correcting where required.
* Profitability lens on annual Brand and Shopper Plans (inc. NPD and promotions) across customer portfolio through robust analysis.
* Manage SKU mix, understanding strong and weak performers in the portfolio including profit heatmapping to provide focus on key product sectors by account.
Principal Responsibilities:
* For a group of Channel specific customers ensure optimal execution of the Princes RGM strategy including pricing, promotions, range, mix, trading terms and commercial plans, specifically:
o Advise on optimal PPA strategy within RGM annual planning
o Profit mix and sku rationality for customer base.
o High-level trade architecture and terms guidance ensuring timed conditionality and clear ROI.
o Work with RGM Product on branded CPI and CPD ensuring go-to-market delivery at customer level.
* Promotional planning and evaluation, understanding promotional performance by sector and making recommendations to enable effective forward mapping across customers.
* Monitoring and reporting on competitor activity, price, promo and PPA changes.
* Work closely with RGM Product Team on excess stock management and profitable clearance within account base.
* Undertake profit analysis to effectively manage SKU mix across the product sectors and enable course correction where required.
Role Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Required degree or equivalent qualification.
* Commercial experience either from a Sales, Category or RGM role with proven capability at driving results.
* FMCG experience dealing with fast moving goods across the UK retail environment with exposure to key UK retailers inc. Mults and Discount channels.
* Excellent communication across key internal stakeholder groups and establish effective relationships across all departments and levels.
* A proven team player able to adapt and flex styles and thinking.
* Strong data analysis and ability to turn insights into action
