Power System Engineer – Generation (EMS/SCADA)
This role focuses on supporting and improving energy management systems for power generation and grid control. You’ll help manage real-time operations and enhance system performance for critical infrastructure.
What you’ll do
* Support and optimise EMS applications for Generation (AGC, Load Forecasting, Economic Dispatch, Power Flow)
* Conduct performance tuning, patching and security updates on EMS systems
* Analyse and resolve application and communication issues
* Participate in system upgrades, model validation and testing activities
* Work with control room teams to maintain system availability and reliability
What you’ll bring
* 5+ years’ experience with EMS or SCADA systems (GE Reliance, AEMS, OSI, Siemens, ABB, Schneider)
* Understanding of generation and control system applications (AGC, Load Forecasting, State Estimator)
* Knowledge of communication protocols (IEC 60870, DNP3, ICCP, Modbus, OPC)
* Strong background in C/C++/Java and SQL
* Experience across Linux and Windows environments
* Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
