Job Description A well-established engineering manufacturer in Kirkbymoorside is looking for an Electronics Test & Repair Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role within a well-equipped facility, working on specialist equipment in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. I'm looking for someone with strong PCB testing and fault-finding skills who enjoys problem solving and takes pride in producing high-quality work. Key Responsibilities Test and diagnose PCBs using oscilloscopes, multimeters, ATE and other diagnostic tools Fault-find to component level on multi-layer boards Rework and repair SMDs, connectors and through-hole components Carry out soldering and desoldering using hot-air stations, microscopes and reflow ovens Develop and follow test plans, computer-controlled test procedures and scripts Record test results, repairs and modifications accurately Work closely with design and production teams to support quality and improvements What We’re Looking For Hands-on PCB test and repair experience (2 years preferred) Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BTEC, City & Guilds) or equivalent experience Confident reading schematics, circuit diagrams and BOMs Skilled in soldering/rework of SMD and through-hole components Experience with multi-layer or rigid-flex PCBs and testing software/tools Knowledge of analogue/digital electronics, microcontrollers, and power electronics Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and team-working skills Benefits Competitive salary 37 hours per week (Mon–Thurs 8.30am–4.30pm, Fri 8.30am–4.00pm) Flexi-time available Overtime: time and a half (Mon–Sat), double time (Sun) 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays 5% company pension Private healthcare Life insurance (2x salary) This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electronics Test & Repair Technician to join a respected company offering stability, career growth, and a great benefits package.
