They are currently on the lookout for an experienced, talented Civil Engineer with a strong background in Drainage and Infrastructure who is willing to take on a challenging array of projects across a variety of sectors, based near the thriving, industrial town of Kettering. Benefits for the role of Civil Engineer include (but are not limited to): Competitive salary Generous annual leave entitlement Possibility of hybrid/flexible working opportunities Training and career progression opportunities Access to a range of interesting, high-profile projects across the region An inclusive, collaborative working environment Opportunities to proactively contribute to the company's growth and development Responsibilities for the role of Civil Engineer include: Designing drainage, highways, and external works across new build and refurbishment projects Producing technical documents with respect to the relevant Section Agreements (particularly S38 ,S278, and S104) Liaising with clients and other stakeholders at all stages of project delivery, from initial inception through to successful implementation and delivery Providing mentorship to other colleagues, sharing best practice and aiding in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Required skills and experience for the role of Civil Engineer include: A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a similar, relevant discipline) Demonstrable experience of working in a design-based role in a UK consultancy setting Previous experience of producing Drainage Strategies and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) Experience of highways and external works design Excellent working knowledge of relevant software systems, including Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, Ground Modelling, WinDes, AutoCAD, etc. Prior experience of liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Good literacy and numeracy skills The ability to work as part of a high-performing team, as well as on your own initiative Full, valid UK Driving Licence Desirable skills and experience for the role of Civil Engineer include: Prior experience of the Flood Risk sector (including authoring Flood Risk Assessment) or Transport Planning Experience in the use of BIM Previous experience of managing an extensive range of projects Good working knowledge of Civils 3D, Site 3D, and Revit Possess Chartered Status (or actively working to attain this) If you are interested in the role of Civil Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
