Position: Senior Supervising Social Worker
Location: Hybrid / Office - Cambuslang
Salary: Up to £41,948.53 per annum, based on experience
Status: Full-Time, 35 hours per week, permanent

Your Role
As a Senior Supervising Social Worker, you will:
* Support foster carers and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.
* Monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment.
* Guide carers in understanding their roles, competencies, and the standards expected, including FCAS policies and procedures.
* Provide regular supervision to allocated foster carers in line with FCAS Operational Standards.
* Collaborate in a team parenting approach to identify needs within the foster family, including short breaks, activities, therapy, or holidays.
* Ensure compliance with all key documentation for each child and foster carer.
* Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding individual care packages.
* Encourage the participation of children and young people in agency development and help them access local resources.
* Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
* Support the referrals team through the day duty system on a rota basis.
What You Bring
We’re looking for candidates who have:
* A Social Work qualification
* Valid Social Work registration or equivalent
* Proven ability to produce high-quality reports
* A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
* The willingness and ability to travel extensively (including occasional overnight stays)
* Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
* A full driving licence
