Brain Injury Support Worker


Location: Dukinfield Hours: 4 hour shifts x 1 or 2 per week.


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.


Due to role responsibilities, you must have a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive the client's car.


About the Client: Our client is in his 30s with a brain injury. He is a family man and works 4 days per week, but keen to reduce down to 3 and have a day for his favourite hobbies - including the gym, golf and darts!


Whilst he remains independent within a set routine including work and the school runs, he suffers with anxiety when there are changes to this and keen to have a Support Worker that will be understanding and promote his independence further.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver personalized care and support to our client.
* Assist with daily living activities and meal preparation.
* Monitor health conditions.
* Accompany client in the community, to the gym, golf & darts.
* Provide emotional support and companionship.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

* Experience in a similar role, preferably with brain injury experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature.
* Interest in sport, particularly golf!
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
