Description Grade UE07: £41,064 to £48,822 per annum College of Science & Engineering / School of Engineering / Institute for Energy Systems Full-time: 35 hours per week Fixed Term: 24 months Vacancies: 1 The School of Engineering seeks to appoint a KTP Associate. This position will contribute to “Deploying Intelligent Modular Power for Tomorrow’s Grid” within the Institute for Energy Systems at the University of Edinburgh. This role is UE07 and is available on a fixed-term basis for up to 24 months. The Opportunity: The associate will work closely with Supply Design Ltd and University of Edinburgh researchers to develop advanced control algorithms for modular intelligent power systems, supporting the transition of new technologies from prototype to commercial application and developing real-world skills for a rewarding career in industry or academia. Your skills and attributes for success: A good honours degree or MSc/PhD in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Knowledge of control systems, embedded software, or power electronics. Analytical and creative problem-solving skills Collaborative, open, and proactive mindset. (Desirable) Experience with the design and control of modular multilevel converter, or related hardware/software prototyping.
