Job Overview
We are a small, but growing independent fire alarm company based in Brighton. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team. Our work is predominately in and around Brighton & Hove, with the occasional day further afield.
This is an exciting and unique role that offers hands-on training in a self-employed position. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service, communication skills and holds a passion in fire safety and engineering principles, with a focus on a long-term career path in the industry. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, possesses excellent organisational skills with good time management, and is proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Duties
* Fire alarm system maintenance and installation.
* Emergency lighting maintenance and installation.
* Fire risk assessments, health & safety surveys and fire door inspections.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and repair tasks.
* Maintain accurate documentation of designs, installations, and inspections.
Requirements
* A valid UK driving license is essential.
* Willing to learn regulations and the job inside out.
* A confident and well organised individual.
* Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Familiarity with electrical systems as they relate to fire safety applications but not essential.
* Previous experience in construction or related industries is advantageous.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in fire & safety while contributing to the safety and well-being of our clients' facilities or an individual who is currently undertaking an apprenticeship in Electrical or Fire & Security.
* Willing to assist with emergency call-outs and occasional office/ admin work.
* Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay: £12.21-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
