CIAG Adviser – Career Connect
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident CIAG Adviser, working with offenders in custody to help them prepare for work on release.
The role involves working with people serving custodial sentences, engaging them in learning, training and employment opportunities, so they’re ready to start a new life on release and break the cycle of reoffending.
We’ll give you all the training you need to do the job and to get established in the new role. Our teams are supportive and friendly towards new starters, helping them settle into the job.
Qualifications & Skills
* Confident and proactive
* A good communicator with a non‑judgemental approach
* Comfortable working on databases and strong attention to detail
We are especially looking for applicants who have experience of helping offenders or other vulnerable groups to move forward in their lives. If you can connect with people to help them progress, work in a prison environment, meet quality and compliance requirements, and work toward individual targets, we’d love to hear from you.
Working Hours & Compensation
Contract requires a 37.5‑hour working week with flexitime. If you are asked to do extra work, you will have those hours to take back another time. CIAG advisers are paid on a scale between £26,485 and £30,012. You will be reimbursed for any additional travel beyond your main base of work.
Holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays, with up to an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service.
