Applications are invited for a newly created Consultant Radiographer post to support the Breast Service. The post holder must be capable of functioning across the four key role domains including; expert practice, professional leadership and consultancy, education and training and research and audit. The post holder will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive radiotherapy service to patients with breast cancer.
Responsibilities
* attending MDT meetings
* accepting new patient referrals
* undertake new patient consultations
* undertake appropriate clinical assessment of patients attending clinics
* referring patients for radiotherapy
* managing and supporting patients throughout the pathway
* obtain informed consent
* delineating treatment volumes
* prescribing radiotherapy
* approving treatment plans
* image interpretation
* on treatment review
* prescribing medication as an independent prescriber
* patient follow-up

The Radiotherapy Service is excellently located close to the City of Truro, beautiful beaches, coastline and countryside, where all our staff enjoy a high quality of life.
