Working within a signage and cladding team that delivers bespoke signage for high profile clients. The Estimator and Project Manager will work with the sales, draught, production, and installation teams. Based at our Tonbridge site, or attending regularly, with occasional travel to customer locations. This role is primarily office-based and operates Monday to Friday, business hours, with occasional flexibility to meet client deadlines. The Estimator and Project Manager will work closely with senior colleagues, site teams, and clients to deliver outstanding results. Main Responsibilities: Estimation & Quoting Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for signage projects, including materials, labour, subcontractors, and installation. Review drawings, specifications, and client briefs to determine project requirements and scope. Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure best value and quality. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, production methods, and installation techniques. Present estimates and proposals clearly and professionally to clients and internal stakeholders. Project Management Plan, schedule, and oversee projects from initial brief through to completion and installation. Coordinate with design, production, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to meet agreed targets. Monitor project progress, identify risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and relevant industry regulations. Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal team members. Provide regular project updates, respond promptly to queries, and manage client expectations. Support the sales team with technical input and accurate pricing information for tenders or proposals. Quality & Continuous Improvement Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain documentation and records for all projects to support transparency and accountability. Contribute to refining estimating and project management processes for greater efficiency and consistency. PERSON SPECIFICATION Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential: Some previous experience in estimating, project coordination, or administration (in signage, construction, print, manufacturing, or related industries). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence dealing with clients, suppliers, and team members. Sound numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret drawings, measurements, or specifications. Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks. Competence in using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word) or similar digital tools. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A positive attitude and eagerness to learn about signage materials, production processes, and project delivery. Desirable: Good understanding of production workflows, fabrication, or installation processes. Experience using estimating or project management software. Familiarity with reading technical drawings or CAD files. Qualification or training in business, project management, design, or a related field.
