Location: Field based – weekly travel to Hemel Hempstead, customer visits and other Carlsberg Britvic sites is expected

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi‑beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn for ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.
With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes six production facilities and 16 logistics depots servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historic businesses have come together, the one common goal remains – ensuring our people succeed.
About the role
You will be responsible for leading the commercial relationship with Booker for its retail segment, symbol groups and independents for Carlsberg Britvic’s beer portfolio. The role will have one direct report and will support in the development and implementation of effective sales strategies and the execution of brand plans.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead the creation and delivery of ambitious commercial plans for Booker, ensuring strong budget performance and a high standard of forecasting, financial management and operational discipline.
* Take full accountability for P&L performance across the soft drinks and beer portfolio, driving outcomes aligned with Carlsberg Britvic’s strategic growth agenda.
* Build and sustain influential customer relationships up to Director level, ensuring excellence across service delivery, pricing, promotions, brand activation and point‑of‑purchase execution.
* Manage and deliver the Joint Business Plan, staying agile to market shifts and ensuring commercial priorities remain fully aligned with customer and business needs.
* Proactively assess performance versus plan, identifying risks early, recalibrating priorities at pace, and providing clear, confident communication to key stakeholders.
* Represent the business with impact at customer meetings, internal events, tradeshows and industry conferences, showcasing our brands and commercial leadership.
* Collaborate effectively across functions to unlock commercial opportunities and maximise long‑term value for both the customer and Carlsberg Britvic.
Experience and Key Attributes
* Strong commercial acumen – building effective and powerful commercial propositions and mutually beneficial account plans, translating these into actions.
* Passionate about providing high service levels to our customers and growing our brands and channels in the market.
* Track record of excellent performance within an FMCG business.
* Ability to build effective customer relationships that thrive and manage internal stakeholder relationships.
* Good understanding of account and financial management concepts, from S&OP planning through to invoice receipt.
* Strong selling and negotiation skills – always thinking strategically.
* Responsive to changes and always ensures continuous improvement.
