Job Description
3. Cost Accounting & Analysis: Lead the analysis of manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and factory overheads, to provide accurate Product Costing and Variance Analysis.
4. Inventory Management: Oversee the valuation of Work-in-Progress (WIP) and finished goods, ensuring financial controls align with physical production cycles.
5. Operational Performance: Collaborate with production managers to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as machine downtime, yield rates, and waste reduction.
6. Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare detailed departmental budgets and rolling forecasts that reflect production capacity and capital expenditure (CapEx) requirements.
7. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting within the production line to enhance overall gross margin and operational transparency.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant should have:
8. A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
