Material Planning Analyst
Location - Peterlee
Duration – 12 Months (High Chance of Extension)
Hourly Rate – £27.28 Umbrella
Working Arrangements - Fully Onsite
The Opportunity
As a Material Planning Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring parts are scheduled, expedited, and delivered to support production. You’ll be stepping in to backfill a contractor who has progressed internally, becoming an integral part of a team of 11 planners under experienced supervisors and a supportive Material Planning Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing the planning and flow of materials to meet production deadlines
* Collaborating with international suppliers to maintain availability and resolve issues
* Supporting the business post-SAP implementation
* Using Excel daily (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) to analyse, forecast and report
* Contributing to continuous improvement; Six Sigma knowledge is a bonus
* Potential UK-based travel to suppliers (up to 15%)
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 2 years' experience in material planning
* Strong scheduling and expediting capability
* Excellent communication, organisational and numerical skills
* Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
* SAP experience highly advantageous
* Self-motivated team player with the ability to work to strict deadlines
