Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience in Residential civil engineering? We are looking for a skilled professional to join a team, working on dynamic new-build housing projects across the North East.
This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You'll be a key player in managing all commercial aspects of our projects, ensuring financial success from the initial bid to the final account.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders.
* Manage project budgets and track costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
* Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
* Prepare detailed progress reports and financial forecasts.
* Value completed work and manage subcontractor payments.
* Work closely with site teams and management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering sector.
* A degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Excellent commercial and financial awareness.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* A methodical, organised approach with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in relevant costing and management software.
