We are recruiting a part-time Deputy Shop Manager to join our Pocklington shop to assist in the day-to-day running of it, delivering an efficient, organised and customer focussed operation to maximise income for the Hospice. Every interaction with our customers, whether that be through purchases or donations will help us to continue to provide care and support to local people with life limiting illnesses. As a Deputy Shop Manager, your main responsibilities will be to: Assist the Shop Manager in maximising store sales, profits and meet KPIs and in their absence, take responsibility of the day to day running of the shop Provide a high level of customer service to donors and customers of the shop and uphold the Hospice values and Retail Service principles Provide line management support to the shop team which will consist of paid staff and volunteers Our ideal candidates will have: Experience of working in the retail sector Proven interpersonal skills and be able to work with and motivate a team of paid staff and volunteers A creative eye and excellent display skills What we can offer you in return: Competitive salary Up to 41 days Annual Leave Attractive pension scheme Training and development opportunities A supportive and friendly working environment Extensive employee discounts on shops, holidays and lifestyle choices and Blue Light Card discounts This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week, 4 days over 7.
