Description
Old Vicarage is looking to recruit a Registered Home Manager to join the team. This is a full-time role working between 9-5, Monday to Friday. You will also be on the on-call rota every other weekend.
Old Vicarage offers residential support for seven adult males and females with a range of needs, including adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and autism spectrum conditions.
Our goal is to support individuals to take control and believe in their potential, enabling positive outcomes for everyone, regardless of age or ability. We aim to facilitate a transition from residential to community living, supporting independence and personalisation.
We also support individuals with:
* Complex needs
* Difficulties with communication
* Mild to moderate challenging behaviours
* Epilepsy
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to residents' wellbeing. We use personalized approaches and proven therapies to help residents progress confidently towards a healthier, more fulfilling future. As the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in their recovery, supporting qualified staff with assessments and care plan implementation, and undertaking routine tasks to ensure wellbeing, dignity, and effective treatment.
* Promote a positive safeguarding and learning culture based on openness, honesty, and transparency
* Maintain a profitable service through cost control, resource management, high occupancy, fee adjustments, and budgeting
* Ensure all staff deliver excellent support, focusing on positive outcomes, choice, independence, and behavioral support
* Achieve excellent results in audits and inspections

What you'll bring to the role
Resilience is essential, as the work can be rewarding yet challenging. Your natural empathy will help you support others through various situations.
You should have experience as a Registered Manager in a similar complex LD service, understanding the needs of residents and supporting person-centered plans. The role involves being on-site most of the time, supporting residents both within the service and in the community, and attending meetings with stakeholders.
