About Broxburn Academy
The Broxburn Academy learning community includes our cluster primaries of Broxburn, Uphall, Kirkhill, Pumpherston, and Uphall Station. We also receive several out-of-catchment placing requests.

School Information
The roll is currently 874 students. There are 82 teaching staff (full-time and part-time) and 33 support staff, including 19 staff members dedicated to supporting young people with additional support needs. Our partners from Skills Development Scotland work alongside us to ensure all young people are supported to secure a positive destination after leaving school.

Qualifications and Requirements
A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland are essential.
Vulnerable Groups and PVG Scheme
This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before starting employment. The candidate will bear the cost (£59 for Full Membership or £18 for Existing Member).
