Line management of a team of professionals to ensure effective commercial management of the contract, with personnel fully trained and competent to deliver company and contract requirements.
Develop long-term relationships with internal and external teams, including negotiation and persuasion, to meet the needs of the business.
Support budget development and cost controls to ensure contracts meet financial and project objectives.
Assist in weekly and monthly cost value reconciliation to provide accurate and timely information for informed decision-making.
Manage cash flow effectively by maximizing income and minimizing work-in-progress exposure.
Identify, price, and agree on variations to contract scope in line with contract requirements.
Engage subcontracts at appropriate rates and terms, ensuring proper administration according to company procedures and contract requirements.
Qualifications and skills:
1. Extensive commercial experience within a contractor environment, with the ability to motivate teams.
2. Experience managing various contracts and dealing with complex arrangements.
3. Significant technical construction knowledge.
4. Strong commercial awareness with experience at Senior QS level.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to build relationships at all levels.
6. Resourcefulness and attention to detail, able to work under pressure.
