We are on the lookout for a proactive, solutions-focused Real Estate Compliance & Risk Support Solicitor to join our dynamic Real Estate department.
You will play a critical role in safeguarding our compliance standards and supporting our fee earners with high-risk and technical matters. This is a role where your expertise will make a visible difference – helping colleagues deliver excellent client service while managing risk effectively.
You will work closely with our leadership team, support Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, and assist with technical queries from our Post Completions team.
Responsibilities
Supporting the Real Estate department in the management of their residential high risk
files:
* To assist fee earning teams with technical queries and high risk files and deliver
effective supervision of high risk files
* Work with both Line Managers to ensure processes manage risk whilst
facilitating smooth and efficient running of high risk files;
* Ensure accurate and consistent implementation of our compliance and risk
management procedures;
* Work collaboratively with all colleagues to facilitate the smooth running of files
in line with the firm’s risk management procedures.
* To assist, as directed, in relation to the completion of substantive file reviews, on
schedule
* Identify, manage, reduce and where possible remove risk in the department
* To maintain good working relationships with all fee earning staff
* To escalate issues where necessary
Supporting the Real Estate department in relation to queries surrounding AML
* To provide assistance to fee earning teams in relation to the interpretation of
AML regulations, and the firm’s internal AML Risk Policy
* To work collaboratively with both line managers to refine processes to ensure
that regulations and policies are able to be efficiently and safely complied with
Supporting the Post Completions team in relation to technical queries
* Provide assistance and advice to the post completion teams in relation to any
technical queries; and where necessary guidance in relation to responses to Land
Registry requisitions
* To support the Compliance and High Risk Manager where requested in relation
to the monitoring of workloads and key dates in the Post Completions team

internal policies and procedures, reporting any breaches to the Compliance and
High Risk Manager
