Job Description:
We're seeking a strategic, analytical, and leadership-oriented Director of Governance and Assurance to join our Head Office in Islington. The role offers £85,000 per annum for a 35-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide sector-leading governance, company secretariat, and assurance services.
2. Advise the CEO, Chair, and SLT on regulation, corporate governance, and business conduct.
3. Oversee risk management, internal controls, and compliance, including internal audits.
4. Support Board and Committee meetings with agenda planning, minute-taking, and record-keeping.
5. Act as a key contact with regulators such as the Regulator of Social Housing, CQC, and Ofsted.
6. Lead a culture of transparency, integrity, and continuous improvement in governance practices.
Candidate Profile:
Skills:
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* High attention to detail.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, or related field; master's or MBA preferred.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CGRC, CRISC, CRMA, Qualified Company Secretary).
Experience:
* Senior leadership experience in governance, risk, or compliance.
* Experience in the housing sector.
* Proven success in implementing governance frameworks and improving organizational performance.
