On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the “company”). The company’s operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants) and Europe (16 manufacturing plants). The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end‑market segments, employing roughly 4,100 people across North America and Europe.
The role
* Strategic sourcing and strategy: develop and implement end‑to‑end strategies for raw materials (excl. Resin) across European sites, ensuring alignment with global objectives and driving cost reductions.
* Stakeholder collaboration: work with engineering, commercial, and on‑site supply‑chain teams to execute the category strategy and integrate it into the long‑term business plan.
* Supplier relationship and risk management: build resilient supply networks, partner strategically, and mitigate supply‑chain risks with the Procurement Director.
* Performance and KPI management: define, monitor, and report KPI progress for site‑specific plans and communicate insights at all organizational levels.
* Cost management and budget oversight: monitor expenses, approve POs and invoices, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions to control costs and meet financial targets.
* Continuous improvement and sustainability: identify opportunities to adopt environmentally sustainable material practices, in line with the company’s sustainability goals.
* Leadership and communication: lead on‑site supply‑chain staff, foster high‑performing teams, and promote effective communication across functions to implement changes that add value.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field (preferred) or relevant professional experience as a Category Manager, Procurement Manager, etc.
* Professional qualification (CIPS, EIPM, ISM, etc.) – preferred.
* Extensive operational experience, understanding of production processes, customer requirements, and product technical attributes.
* Commercially and financially astute, with multisite procurement management experience and strong budgeting skills.
* Results‑oriented, capable of planning and prioritising multiple projects and delivering on objectives and deadlines.
* Ability to lead and implement change, structure, and process reforms while encouraging cultural, technological, and operational transformation.
* Comfortable working both strategically and tactically, with hands‑on involvement close to sales and operations.
* ERP experience (IFS advantageous but not essential).
