Position Overview
Clowne Parish Council is seeking a self‑motivated, highly organised Assistant Clerk to join our small and friendly team. The role supports the Clerk, Finance Officer and Community Centre Manager in delivering the Council’s administrative and governance requirements, services and events. It is a varied, fast‑paced position best suited to an individual who thrives on balancing multiple tasks and who can handle the fact that no day is the same.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Clerk, Finance Officer and Community Centre Manager with daily administrative tasks.
* Support the delivery of Council governance and administrative requirements.
* Help coordinate and run services and events, including occasional evening meetings and events outside normal office hours.
Requirements
* Self‑motivated and highly organised.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* May need to provide details of two referees, one of whom should be your current or most recent employer.
