We require a good understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, specification, implementation, integration, testing, and acceptance. We require experience with development tools such as requirements management, modelling, and defect reporting systems. We require willingness to adapt to a variety of engineering tasks and enthusiasm to extend our knowledge to support the project. We would value experience providing engineering input and support to business development activities. We strongly prefer a background in communications, including voice, data, and radio products. We would especially value knowledge or experience in communications technologies, including IP networking, network design, VOIP, point-to-point radio links, 4G mobile technologies, network security, and network management. We would especially value knowledge or experience with software operating systems, including Linux and virtual machine environments. We would value an understanding of designing equipment to meet stringent environmental requirements such as EMC and environmental standards. We develop and implement technical solutions that meet customer requirements. We provide realistic estimates for specified activities to the development lead. We accurately report on progress.
