Be a competent No2 printer so you can deputise as and when required Implement company standard quality levels as specified by the No1 printer and Press Manager. Prepare reels for each title being produced and ensure that newsprint is ready for the next title to minimise downtime. Support the press crews by being able to sort and apply plates on to the press Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with and adherence to H&S requirements, Manage and update the H&S duties of the department. Uphold Reachs policy around diversity and inclusion and work to ensure our values around non discrimination are upheld in everything we publish Report equipment defects as they occur to ensure corrective action can be taken. Assist generally in the cleaning / maintenance of all presses / ancillary equipment. Have a good understanding or have the ability to learn the basic process of coldset printing A good understanding of the basic lithography printing process. Has a good eye for colour matching and good attention to detail. Moderate IT skills would be an advantage but not completely essential Be able to retain clear an accurate records and process data as and when required. Good technical and mechanical back group would be advantage Must be able to work in fast moving manufacturing environment and be able to multitask as and when required.
