Job Description
3. Manage the financial reporting and reconciliation of capital projects and fixed assets.
4. Prepare accurate and timely capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.
5. Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
6. Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
7. Provide detailed analysis and insights on capital spending and variances.
8. Support the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors as needed.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
10. Assist in the implementation of process improvements for capital accounting functions.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Capital Accountant should have:
11. A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
12. Experience gained in Estates, Housing Associations or Construction would be ideal.
13. Strong experience in capital accounting or financial reporting.
14. Proven knowledge of fixed asset management and capital expenditure processes.
15. An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
16. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
17. The ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
