Job Title: Finance Assistant Location: Knaresborough, North Yorkshire Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5.30pm We have an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing, modern business who provide a slick, industry leading service and a stylish, prestige product as a Finance Assistant. This is a full time, permanent role working from their modern offices in Knaresborough. Our client offers specialist services into a prestige market. As Finance Assistant, you will be a key member of a small finance team, providing crucial support across finance operations. This role is ideal for a proactive, numerically confident individual who enjoys variety, accuracy and process improvement in a fast moving business. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records and update the Sage accounting system in a timely manner. Process accounts payable and ensure accurate agreement payments to dealerships. Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end accounting activities. Analyse financial data and support compliance with financial regulations. Collaborate effectively with internal teams, particularly sales and financial operations. Assist with process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency. Support ad hoc financial reporting and other tasks as required. Experience Required : Strong numerical and analytical skills with a degree in a relevant field or experience within a finance role. Proficiency in Excel and experience with Sage or other accounting software advantageous. Excellent communication skills and comfortable liaising with colleagues across teams. Understanding of financial compliance standards and best practices. Proactive, positive and able to take ownership of tasks in a fast paced environment.
