Salary: £67,000 - 107,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong data engineering experience in a cloud environment. We require experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure. We need strong SQL skills and ideally Python. We are looking for a good understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, and reporting or insight platforms. We require experience with CI/CD, Git, and structured deployment processes. We need experience with modern cloud data platforms and warehousing technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or Databricks. We are looking for someone able to work autonomously and prioritise their own workload. We need confidence working with non-technical stakeholders. We are looking for a pragmatic approach, with the ability to balance best practice and commercial delivery. GCP and BigQuery experience would be highly beneficial, though we will also consider strong cloud data engineers from AWS or Azure backgrounds who are interested in moving into GCP. Responsibilities: We will have you build and improve cloud-based data pipelines and data models. We will have you support the development of a modern data platform using Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery. We will have you work with stakeholders across the business to understand data sources, reporting needs, and commercial priorities. We will have you help bring outsourced data engineering capability in-house. We will have you create better structure around change control, deployment, CI/CD, and engineering standards. We will have you support data governance, security, and quality as new sources are onboarded. We will have you identify quick wins while protecting the long-term quality of the platform. We will have you work closely with BI, reporting, integration, and technology teams.
