About the role
Based at our steel manufacturing facility in Tranent, East Lothian, this role supports the cutting and processing of large steel plates and sections used in pylons, substations, and major UK infrastructure projects. It’s hands-on, practical work in a busy workshop.
We’re looking for someone with some prior CNC knowledge or exposure, gained through work, college, training, or an apprenticeship, and a genuine interest in CNC machinery.
We’ll provide full training on our machines and processes to get you up to speed and feeling confident.
Shifts available
We offer a range of shift options, subject to availability:
Day shift: Monday to Thursday, 7.00am–5.15pm
Weekend shift: Friday to Sunday, 7.00am–5.30pm
Night shift: Monday to Thursday, 8.45pm–7.00am
About you
You’ll have some CNC knowledge, a strong interest in steel manufacturing, a good eye for detail, and a reliable work ethic. You’re happy working as part of a team, following instructions, and taking pride in doing the job right.
