Job Description
This is a fixed-term contract (maternity cover) role for 12 months. The Events Manager is responsible for all aspects of event management, from planning to post-event follow-up, ensuring memorable experiences. Working with the Marketing & Communications team, the successful candidate will plan and execute high-quality events to enhance client relationships and promote the Colliers brand. This role requires a dynamic, energetic, and innovative individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
* Organize, coordinate, and oversee events, collaborating with teams and stakeholders to optimize business development and brand opportunities.
* Develop event concepts, objectives, themes, and goals in partnership with stakeholders and marketing teams.
* Create and manage budgets, ensuring expenses stay within limits and communicating ROI to stakeholders.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including working with senior leaders, using Salesforce for invite lists and attendance tracking, and coordinating event collateral.
* Select venues, manage logistics like transportation and catering, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely service delivery.
* Align events with Colliers’ brand positioning, briefing spokespeople and managing media/presentation training as needed.
* Develop detailed event timelines, supervise on the day, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth execution.
* Post-event, evaluate success, gather feedback, and prepare reports for future improvements.
Qualifications
* Self-motivated, organized, with strong project management skills.
* Experience managing external suppliers, briefing designers, and collaborating with marketing teams.
* Proven ability to delegate, manage processes, and own end-to-end event production.
* Comfortable under pressure, managing multiple tasks and high demands.
* Excellent stakeholder relationship skills at all seniority levels, with clear communication, including to CEOs and senior leaders.
* Experience producing detailed proposals, managing guest speakers, delegate packs, and event briefings.
* Energetic, courteous, team-oriented, and understanding of brand activation and client engagement.
* Willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and travel.
* Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email marketing platforms like Marketo, and social media tools such as Hootsuite, Twitter, Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram.
